Hello!
We conducted our market research this week, and it looks like most students got some good information to help guide their projects. Our field trip to the Lahal tournament was a success, as everyone had a great time.
In math we started our small money unit, learning how to add and subtract using decimals. We also learned how to make a shopping list using the flipp app, and made meal plans for 3 days. Students were shocked about the price of some food.
In language arts we wrote about our trip on Wednesday to get some more paragraph practice. We also posted our Secret Rules stories for next week’s Literacy Week.
In social studies we finished off our tineline projects, and shared them with the class. We also took a deeper dive into the fur trade, as well as canada becoming a nation. We looked at the main events and the effects they had, positive or negative.
We also created some rebus puzzles for next week’s events.
Next week is our last before Spring break. We will be playing the price is right in math, learning how to make a Google Slides presentation, learning about the railroad and residential school system in Canada, and discussing the costs of materials with our project. Should be busy.
Have a good weekend, and see you next week.
