Hello!
It was a busy one this week with our Young Entrepreneur fair on Wednesday and Thursday. Most students did very well with selling their products. A couple of students needed reminders about not purchasing using money from their till, and did much better the second day. On Monday we will calculate our profit when we subtract cost of materials.
In math we practice how to give change with money, in preparation for the fair. We also went over fractions and practiced drawing some fractions using a bar design.
In social studies we talked about our next upcoming project in May, researching our country of origin. A family survey was sent home, there will be reminders to return it over the next few weeks.
Next week we will learn how to write fractions on a number line, present our human body inquiry projects to the class, look at the federal.polotical parties of Canada for the upcoming election, and start our poetry unit. It should be a good week.
