Hello!
Hope everyone had a nice to weeks off. Sounds like a lot of the students were busy naming their products for next week’s fair.
With our young entrepreneur fair, we discussed the price each product cost to make, what to set our price at, and how many products we must sell to then make a profit. We also talked about marketing. Students created table posters to show off their work. Some are deciding to make larger displays at home. Students also prepared a list of what to bring for Tuesday.
With math we reviewed subtraction, multiplication, and division. We also started our look into fractions, discussing how they are pieces of a whole, the bottom denominator represents total pieces, and top numerator represents pieces we are focusing on.
In science we started and finished our human body inquiry, where students are making a presentation about a part of the human body they wonder about.
In language arts we wrote about our spring break, describing the events in two to three paragraphs. Sounds like some fun times were had.
As the class reached their 75 points, on Friday we had a board game day. Students got to choose from a variety of games to play, some trying new ones, while others playing classics.
Next week is our YE fair. Make sure to send everything Tuesday for set up, and come visit on Thursday for buying.
